Top Three Things You Should Be Eating at Universal Orlando This Week (July 24th, 2022)

In terms of theme park food at Universal Orlando, a few special times of year approach. Starting in mid-August, annual passholder days generally features many special annual passholder exclusive menu items. As of time of writing, Universal Orlando has not announced those yet. Many of those food items create wonderful new flavors. Of course, some of them should never be seen again due to poor quality.

Also, starting September 2nd, Halloween Horror Nights begins. Based on current expectations, many new seasonal food items will begin to be sold at Universal Orlando. As you might expect, I will suggest many of those seasonal food options in the upcoming weeks. However, until then plenty of wonderful menu items need to be explored and enjoyed.

This week will start at Today’s Café like I mentioned in last week’s article. Back in June, a new breakfast sandwich appeared on The Today Café menu in Universal Studios Florida theme park. Savannah’s Dream Breakfast Sandwich builds on the NBCUniversal and Today Show synergy. The final form of this sandwich includes sausage, egg, cheese, smashed avocado, and Divina tomatoes on an everything bagel seasoned croissant. Guests receive a side of fruit also. This sandwich costs $9.99 before any annual pass discounts. For a full review, click here.

In honor of National Hamburger Day falling on July 28th, we leave the theme parks proper to visit CityWalk. Though not the best table service burgers on Universal Orlando property, the safest option for burgers exists at Hard Rock Café. I suggest the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. Of course, Hard Rock Café offers a wide variety of burgers. You should be able to find a burger style fitting your preference here for the made-up food holiday.

My final suggestion for this week leads us to a great table service option in CityWalk. In my opinion, the best dining in CityWalk can be found at Vivo Italian Kitchen. The food quality rivals many more expensive Italian places in Orlando area. Since July 29th functions as National Lasagna Day, we should order that at Vivo. The quality of this lasagna, and all their Italian cuisine, surpasses expectations.

Thanks for reading. Next week, we will enter August so expect some cool food announcements from Universal Orlando Resort soon. As always, eat like you mean it!
