Top Four Solutions To Prevent Chub Rub Chafing At Disney Parks

I’m a larger gal, and I know how painful chub rub can be.  You walk all day around Disney parks in the heat, and you are going to get some chafing. Anyone with some thigh touch is at risk.

Chafing can also appear in other places, like armpits, under breasts, under your butt, or in your butt crack, etc. Some of these solutions can be utilized in those areas as well.

These are mostly for women, but there are products for men included as well.

Here are some solutions to prevent the dreaded chub rub.
  1. Bike shorts – Athletic sweat-wicking / cooling ones work great.
These can be worn under shorts or a dress to help prevent friction. I’ve seen people recommend Spanx, Old Navy, Aerie, and Amazon also carries a wide variety.

The only downside is that sometimes the athletic wear can hold sweat smells. All body deodorant might also be helpful.

Men, you might want to consider athletic fabric boxer briefs.

  2. Longer shorts
It can be hot, but wearing longer shorts can help stop them from riding up as much, which prevents chafing. Shorts that fall above the knee, pedal pushers, or capris would all work well.
  3. Anti-Chafing Creams
There are several on the market that work really well to prevent friction and rub.
Mega Babe Thigh Rescue, Body Glide, Monistat Chafing Relief, and Happy Nuts are a few popular options.

Some of these can be used on feet too!

Reapply throughout the day for best results.

  4.  Anti-Chafing Powders
Powders are also available to stop the friction and help dry the sweat.
Anti Monkey Butt, Lady Monkey Butt, Carpe, Mega Babe Powder, Happy Curves, and Happy Nuts.

These can help wick away sweat and lower friction. Like creams/gels, they need to be reapplied throughout the day.

Try these when you visit. If all else fails, Disney First Aid may have ointment or powder packets.  You can also apply creams for rash, which can help in the evenings when you return to your room.

I hope these suggestions help. I’ve been there, and it isn’t fun.
