The ‘Zootopia 2’ Trailer Has Dropped!

Disney is coming back with yet another sequel film, this time ‘Zootopia 2.’ The film will release in theaters on November 26, as Disney’s Thanksgiving time release.

Like “Inside Out 2” and “Moana 2,”“Zootopia 2” is Disney banking on brand recognition instead of new IP. However, this move has paid off for them with the other two films, and I do think it’s possible “Zootopia 2” can do even better than the other sequels.

Plus, Disney already made ‘Zootopia’ part of Shanghai Disney, and the new “Zootopia Better Together” show will be coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World this winter.

They were always going to do more films because they doubled down on the IP with the theme parks. The show will be a replacement for “It’s Tough To Be A Bug.”

Today, the first trailer was dropped, take a look!

In the trailer, viewers are shown various habitats that will be featured in the film.

The film sees the return of Ginnifer Goodwin as Judy Hopps and Jason Bateman as Nick Wilde, along with directors Jared Bush (writer/director) and Byron Howard (director), who were both part of the first “Zootopia” and also did “Encanto.”

A synopsis of the film reads,

“Detectives Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down.”

Yesterday, Disney Animation released this poster as a teaser for the trailer,

Before the trailer went live, Walt Disney Animation put up a “countdown” of sorts with Flash slowly heading toward the trailer sign. It was a cute touch!

What do you think? Will you be going to see “Zootopia 2?”
