The Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina HasLab Campaign is Funded!

Although the campaign stalled a little, HasLab’s Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina playset crowdfunded has succeeded! With 14,737 backers, it blew past the needed 8K, but it fell short of achieving all of the additional funding tiers.

Those stretch goals weren’t exactly must-haves. Do you really need another Vintage Collection Arleil Schous (Wolfman)? Then again, watch Hasbro never release this figure out of spite.

I was surprised that the campaign succeeded partly because of the price but because Hasbro was forcing backers to pay even more if they wanted the whole Cantina. The crowdfunding campaign was broken up into two options. For $399.99, you got about 3/4 of the Cantina. For another $100, backers would get the rest of the hive of scum and villainy.

Like Jabba’s Sail Barge, the Mos Eisley Cantina is loaded with movie-accurate detail. This is also the first time that the entire set has been created for the 3/4-scale action figure line.

If you spent the whole $499, this is what you’d get:

  • An external entrance façade
  • Main cantina entry archway and stairs
  • A large bar
  • 3 modular sitting booths
  • Archways
  • additional modular booth sections
  • additional short stools
  • additional single-seat chairs
  • additional 2-seat benches
  • additional round tables
  • 20 more cups
  • Unique wall decor

Over the years, we’ve gotten small sections of the iconic spaceport bar, but nothing like this. The other must-have factor is that the campaign includes two characters that have never appeared in toy form: the Tonnika sisters.

If you’re wondering why a small plastic playset costs $499, check out the price breakdown by our friend Scott “Toy Guru” Neitlich below:

Even though the Cantina has been backed, it won’t ship out to backers until the Fall of 2025!
