The Simpsons To Crossover With Disney In New “Plusaversary” Special

Ever since the 2019 acquisition of 20th Century Fox’s film and television library it’s still hard to wrap your head around the fact that Disney owns The Simpsons, among various other odd IPs. The Simpsons was one of the first major programs to be included with the Launch of Disney Plus in late 2019. Though some argue it would have been better suited for Hulu since Disney has a lard percentage ownership of that platform.

The Simpsons isn’t a stranger to crossovers. They crossed over with Family Guy and Futurama in the past, and more recently had specials relating to both Star Wars and Marvel. But now with the two Year Anniversary of the Disney plus streaming platform a brand new Simpsons Special will be premiering called “Plusaversary”.

The special will follow Homer Simpson as a party is being held for the platform’s anniversary since he seemingly wasn’t invited. We will see appearances from various Disney characters and IPs in the classic Simpsons style with all the expected jokes you’d get from such an odd pairing. The promotional poster shows Homer sitting down and talking with Goofy in a booth.

The Special will premier on November 12th as part of “Disney Plus Day” where multiple new shows and movies planned for the service will be shown off and announced.

Will you follow Homer on his journey through the Disney-verse?
