Disney+ has just announced that 1987 classic film The Princess Bride will be coming to the streaming service on May 1, 2020.
To make the announcement they got Cary Elwes (Wesley) and Robin Wright (Buttercup) to do a video.

I am very excited about this as I have been a big fan of the film for years.
Last fall there were rumors swirling about the possibility of them rebooting or remaking the film and the fans were very, VERY vocal about not wanting that to happen. Hopefully they will listen. Hollywood of late seems to want to reboot everything and make changes to everything. Disney has been on their quest to make live-action adaptations of all their animated films instead of making new movies. Let’s all hope they leave The Princess Bride alone!
Either way, get ready because this popular cult classic is coming to Disney+ on May 1st!
