Good news for classic Muppets fans! The Muppet Show is coming to Disney+ on February 19th with all five seasons of the original variety show!

Jim Henson created the show that features famous Muppets like Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Waldorf, Statler, The Swedish Chef and more. The original show was 120 episodes long and ran from 1976 until 1981
When the show aired it was a popular one for celebrities to be on and many famous performers of the time were on it including: Steve Martin, Elton John, Alice Cooper, Diana Ross and Mark Hamill. It was a variety show that featured these celebrities and skits in their theater. Think “Muppet Vision 3-D” but as a show with celebrities..

I also found the show pitch on Twitter by Muppet History:

Here’s the press release quote about the show:
“It’s going to be great to welcome back longtime fans, and to give a new generation of fans a chance to see how we got our start, how Miss Piggy became a star and so much more,” said Kermit the Frog. “Today, I’m proud to say: ‘It’s time to play the music, light the lights and meet the Muppets on Disney Plus tonight!’ And as for Statler and Waldorf, the two old guys in the balcony, I can only add: ‘Sorry, guys, but… here we go again.”
Okay I’m excited about this one. I haven’t seen it in years!
