Thanksgiving Five Course Meal at Salt & Straw Disney Springs for November

Like Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs, Salt & Straw unveils new limited-time flavors each month. The November flavors of the month at Salt & Straw Disney Springs provide guests with a Thanksgiving five-course ice cream meal.

No blog about the ice cream at Salt & Straw can overlook this place’s unusual flavors. For example, last month involved ice cream with mealworms and crickets.

For November, Salt & Straw brought a kinder, gentler version of ice cream. These flavors should remind guests of a pleasant time around the dinner table.

Last Year

Last year, the five Thanksgiving-themed ice cream flavors were:

• Caramelized Turkey and Cranberry Sauce
• Mom’s Mango Pie
• Roasted Peach & Sage Cornbread Stuffing
• Pumpkin & Gingersnap Pie
• Parker House Rolls w/ Salted Buttercream.

On the night before the new Thanksgiving-themed ice cream could be purchased, Salt & Straw posted a sneak peek on its social media. This sneak preview video was shot from the test kitchen for Salt & Straw in Portland, Oregon.

In this video, we learn that the five limited-time flavors would be an ice cream version of a five-course Thanksgiving meal. This matches the theme from November 2022. However, this time, it involves some returning favorites and some new options.

This Year

This year, Salt & Straw designed the following limited-time flavors:

• Course #1: Parker House Rolls with Salted Buttercream is back.
• Course #2: Cheesy Potato Casserole provides the next part of this ice cream adventure. This side dish plays the role of vegetables (potatoes) for this five-course ice cream tour. This ice cream is based on a casserole with cornflakes on top. That concept has been turned into a potato-based cheesecake. That cheesecake is then folded into a cornflakes-based ice cream.
• Course #3: Turkey Stuffed and Cranberry makes the main course. The salt and pepper make the base of ice cream with large portions of cranberry sauce included. The turkey is cooked into the stuffed bread pudding for this ice cream. The turkey gets balanced out with the black pepper and cranberry sauce.
• Course #4: Mom’s Mango Pie returns for 2023.
• Course #5: Pumpkin & Gingersnap serves as vegan gelato for this month. Every set of limited-time monthly options involves one vegan gelato. Based on the Thanksgiving theme, some pumpkins needed to be included. This gelato features a bit of coconut with baked down pumpkin. Also, a gingersnap crust gets cooked down into this creation.

All five of these sweet dessert flavors will be available through Thanksgiving, according to the social media post by Salt & Straw. These flavors will be available at the Disney Springs location. As always, eat like you mean it!
