Disney has announced their picks to play the leads in the live-action “Rapunzel” film. Once thought to be shelved, the film was brought back to life after “Lilo & Stitch” performed so well.
Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim have been formally announced as Rapunzel and Flynn Rider
Disney fans should recognize Milo Manheim. He played Zed in the four “Zombies” films on Disney+ as well as Nico in “Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.” on Disney+.
Croft has appeared in some films and shows, including playing Rachel Roth / Raven in DC’s “Titans” on HBOMax.
Here is the announcement made by Walt Disney Studios earlier today,

The film will be directed by Michael Gracey (“The Greatest Showman) while Kristin Burr (“Freakier Friday” / “Cruella”) is producing. I am a bit concerned as Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (“Thor: Love and Thunder”) wrote the script. Hopefully, it’s a lot better than “Thor: Love and Thunder.”
Fans await the next big casting announcement — Mother Gothel.
Croft and Manheim have big shoes to fill, as Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi did such a great job as the duo in the animated film.
Who do you think should play Mother Gothel? What do you think about the casting for Rapunzel and Flynn Rider?
