Recently, we reported on one of the actors playing Tally the Elf in the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade at Walt Disney World’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party event. The character was incredibly popular and has gone viral on TikTok. There are even fan-made stickers based on him. Sadly, the parade may be less fun as the popular elf has been rumored to have been pulled from the event.
Why has Tally the Elf reportedly been removed?
Due to his extreme popularity on TikTok and the Cast Member/actor’s name being posted on the videos, people allegedly ruined the magic of the parade and invaded the actor’s privacy by yelling his real name at him during the parade. Apparently, those guests thought they could get Tally’s attention if they called out his real name. Sadly that can lead to reassignment for the Cast Member.
It is not yet clear if the actor was removed or not, but he was not in the last performance of the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, and the alleged “I heard it from a Cast Member” rumor was that he was removed from the parade to avoid ruining the experience for others. I’m sure they don’t want to cause the actor any undue harm as well.
After all, his going viral was not his fault. He was just really, really good at his job!
If it is true, it is due to people overstepping and stalking the Cast Member, leading to him being switched out to another role. Don’t do it! It’s not fair to the CM and to other guests who wanted to see him, too.
Could the rumor be untrue?
Yes. It is possible that he is still in the parade and the rumors are incorrect. Perhaps he just had the night off? Maybe he was on vacation?
It’s my sincerest hope that he is just off work and will return.
Only time will tell.
