Netflix dropped the trailer for the second part of “Stranger Things” season 5. Three more episodes will debut on Christmas night at 5 PM PST / 8 PM EST. The finale will air on New Year’s Eve at the same times, 5 PM PST / 8 PM EST.
The trailer already has almost 1.2 million views in two hours.
Here is the trailer,
The trailer indicates that everything we thought we knew about the Upside Down was “dead wrong.” But it does seem to tie into a couple of theories about the Upside Down being a “bridge” between Dimension X and our world. Frankly, until we see the show through to the end, we won’t know what is true and what isn’t.
My husband did say that some flashes in the trailer reminded him of “The Nothing” from the “Neverending Story,” which was previously referenced in Season 3. Again, who knows?
What we do know is that Steve and Dustin made a death pact. Nancy still likes guns. The demogorgons are headed to the hospital, presumably for Max (but Karen and Ted Wheeler are also there). Something isn’t going well because Will and Joyce are having a conversation alluding to that, and more.
I hope none of the main cast die, but I know someone will likely have to. From here on out, it’s going to get more and more intense until the end.
10 more days!
