Steve Rogers Is Back For “Avengers: Doomsday”

According to numerous reports there will be four Avengers: Doomsday teasers ahead of “Avatar: Fire and Ash” at the box office. To get butts into the seats domestically, Marvel will reportedly be releasing the four trailers, one a week, during the theatrical release of “Avatar.” The first teaser has reportedly been revealed as Steve Rogers (Captain America).

Of course, these are all reports and have not been confirmed.

While we have not received confirmation, there are several descriptions of the trailer and a leak of the “trailer” on social media.

This is likely not the 616 Steve, but another version. The multiverse is in full swing in the MCU right now, but Disney must have figured out what fans actually wanted to see and tried to throw the fan service in to get people excited.

I did see the “leak,” and it does line up with the written descriptions.  A man on a motorcycle pulls up to a house. We see Captain America’s folded uniform being put into a container and then closed. Then it’s revealed that it’s Steve Rogers, and he’s holding a baby.

The screen says, “Steve Rogers will return in ‘Avengers: Doomsday…December 2026”

Again, these trailers are reportedly exclusive to the “Avatar: Fire and Ash” film so far. Disney is hoping the “Avengers” and “Steve Rogers” fans will buy tickets to see the trailers.

“Avatar: Fire and Ash” is going to do well in theaters, but like “Avatar: The Way of Water,” the majority of the box office will likely come from international markets. This could be Disney’s way of trying to generate more money at the domestic box office.

But what do you think?

Is the trailer real? Do you think Disney is doing this to try and boost the “Avatar: Fire and Ash” domestic box office?
