Tamagotchis are back and now Star Wars is launching it’s first ever virtual pet with R2-D2. Pre-orders for the toy go up tonight with the release being November 11th.
There will be two shell choices available for the toy that are both inspired by the famous astromech droid. One looks like him with white and blue and one has a blue case with white detailing.
The R2-D2 Tamagotchi will have nine mini games that include firefighting and holochess. There will also be animations and you can train your pet on 19 different skills.
Like other Tamagotchi creatures you need to feed him (keep him charged) and make sure he’s happy and healthy or “If he’s neglected for too long, Jawas may come take Artoo away!”
It’s going to go up for pre-order on Amazon at 9PM PST / Midnight EST.
Entertainment Earth has also posted teasers about the toy so they will likely get pre-orders as well.
