The Spirit of Aloha show at Disney’s Polynesian Resort has been closed indefinitely. Multiple reports have surfaced saying that the cast had been informed that the show will be no longer running. One can only speculate that this has to be because of the newly announced Disney Vacation Club tower addition to the resort. This news was revealed yesterday, March 15th.
The Spirit of Aloha show has not operated in the phased reopening of Walt Disney World since the closure of the resort in March of 2020 for the coronavirus pandemic.
The Spirit of Aloha show was an all you care to eat tropical feast along with a show celebrating the culture and traditions of the Polynesian islands. The food and the entertainment were delightful. One of the most entertaining sections of the show were the fire dancers. Overall, guests were enthralled by the array of entertainment options this show offered.
Perhaps with the new Disney Vacation Club Tower will come a new show. One could only hope because of the popularity of this show.
If you are looking for food similar to that of the food that was served at the Spirit of Aloha show, look no further than Ohana and the Kona Café also at the Polynesian Resort. Ohana is also an all you care to eat family style Polynesian flavored eatery. Additionally, during breakfast time, Lilo and Stitch make appearances and at dinner time, Polynesian music and fun can be had.
Surely, this popular dinner show will be missed and the comments online are echoing that sentiment.
