Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team-Up! premieres Thursday, Sept. 24 on Disney Jr. and Disney Jr. on Demand, then lands on Disney+ on Friday, Sept. 25.

Who is in the new Avengers lineup?
It will feature Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Wasp, and Black Panther. Hank Pym‘s Ant-Man is on the cast list as a full member but does not appear in that shot.
Not present: Thor, Hawkeye, and Black Widow.
Compare that to the October 2025 special, Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team Up!, which ran Spider-Man, Iron Man, Black Panther, Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Sam Wilson‘s Captain America.
So Wasp is in, and Ms. Marvel is out. And Captain America changed people, with Steve Rogers taking the shield from Sam Wilson’s version.
What is Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team-Up! about?
Halloween, and somebody trying to ruin it.
Hallows’ Eve turns up determined to wreck the holiday, playing magical tricks on trick-or-treaters. Spider-Man gets the alert, which puts him at the center of a crossover built around a job the Avengers can actually finish: saving Halloween.
No multiversal crisis. No incursions. Just a villain messing with candy night.
The special lives in the shared animated world of Spidey and His Amazing Friends and Iron Man and His Awesome Friends, not the live-action MCU. The Peter Parker and Tony Stark here are the Disney Jr. kid versions.
Why does this special matter for Marvel?
This is the second of two crossover specials, both serving as preludes for Avengers: Mightiest Friends, a new preschool Avengers series arriving in 2027.
It also arrives with Iron Man and His Awesome Friends reportedly canceled, which makes this crossover the bridge that carries those characters forward into the new show rather than a one-off holiday episode.
Patrick Stump’s Marvel debut
Stump has worked on Spidey and His Amazing Friends before, contributing music and cameoing as himself. Playing Jack O’Lantern is his first time voicing an actual Marvel Comics character, and his first time playing a villain.
He wrote new songs for the special on top of it, which means the guy singing the bad guy’s songs also wrote them.
Pairing him with Este Haim gives Disney Jr. a villain duo made of two people whose day jobs are arena tours. Parents watching over a bowl of cereal on a Thursday morning are going to recognize both voices before their kids do.
Halloween is still six weeks out on Sept. 24, which is about right. Nobody in a costume store has waited past mid-September in years.
