Disney has added a new gingerbread display to EPCOT this year. Located in the recently opened CommuniCore Hall is an 8-foot-tall Spaceship Earth Gingerbread house complete with light display!
It is amazing! (But I am biased as I love Spaceship Earth.)
The countdown clock, sponsored by Citizen, will indicate when the next amazing light show will begin. When the clock reaches 0:00 it will light up and run a musical light show. This will continue every 30 minutes throughout the day.
The Laughing Place posted a video of the Spaceship Earth Gingerbread display on YouTube.
This new house comprises 1,300 gingerbread triangles to replicate the “big golf ball” at EPCOT. Fun fact that is only 11% of the number of tiles that actually make up the entire attraction exterior!
Gingerbread Spaceship Earth took over 100 eggs, 100 pounds of royal icing, 240 pounds of dough, and more than 160 hours of work from the culinary team.
It’s such a fun display!
