If there’s one thing Marvel/Disney did well with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it was allowing Sam Raimi to implement his signature horror elements. Whether it was the end of an iconic Marvel hero or the nightmarish mind-bending battles across the Multiverse, only the man behind Evil Dead could pull that off.
[Spoilers ahead for those who’ve not seen the movie.]
So, if there’s money to be made from that kind of stuff, Disney would find a way. Hence we’ll be getting a Dead Strange action figure from Hot Toys sometime in the second half of next year. Yup, not only did Dr. Strange upset the natural order when he took over the corpse of one of his variants, but he also made a lot of souls really mad. Thanks to Hot Toys ‘ talented artists, the fantastic visuals during these scenes are captured here. This may be one of the most extravagant Hot Toys figures I’ve ever seen.
Dead Strange is available for pre-order now at Sideshow Collectibles, and he is going to set you back $385.

Meticulously crafted based on the appearance of Benedict Cumberbatch as Dead Strange in the movie, the figure features a newly developed head sculpt and hair sculpture with disgustingly beautiful details; a decaying tunic outfit and sculpted boots, a distressed cape with sculpted heads of demons; the greatly detailed Souls of Damned accessories to drag on Strange, and a dynamic figure base.
Your $385 purchase will include a box full of the following:
- Authentic and detailed likeness of Benedict Cumberbatch as Dead Strange in Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
- One (1) newly developed head sculpt
- Highly-detailed tied hair sculpture
- Movie-accurate Dead Strange’s appearance with damaged muscle tissue and exposed skeleton parts
- Body with over 30 points of articulation
- Approximately 31 cm tall
- Six (6) pieces of interchangeable hands including:
-
- One (1) pair of clenching hands
- Two (2) pair of gesture hands
- Each head sculpt is specially hand-painted
- One (1) black-colored cloak with Souls of Damned head sculptures and distressed detailing (embedded with wires)
- One (1) multi-layered burgundy and black colored tunic with distressed detailing
- One (1) burgundy and black colored under-tunic
- One (1) cummerbund
- One (1) pair of navy colored pants
- One (1) pair of burgundy and black boots
- One (1) Souls of the Damned accessory with articulated arms (attachable to figure’s back)
- Two (2) Souls of the Damned accessories
This makes me want to see Hot Toys release a new line of Evil Dead figures. Think of all the variations of Ash! You could have an entire shelf of 1/6th scale Ashley Williams all lined up and ready to quip!
