Shrek 5 Trailer Looks Completely Different Than Widely Panned Teaser Trailer

Shrek and Donkey are back on a whirlwind adventure to Further Further Away in the new Shrek 5 trailer.

Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, and their sons, Fergus and Farkle, are on a trip to a fairy tale ghetto?

There is also a “caked-up” Gingy.

This trailer is very different from the disaster that was the first teaser trailer.

In that trailer, we saw Shrek, Fiona, and their daughter played by Zendaya (who is in everything now).

That trailer was so bad that Donkey roasted it at the theme park meet-and-greet.

Thankfully, they took a new approach and focused on the story rather than the awkward family drama. Also, Donkey looks much better than he did in the original trailer. I did catch that they made Donkey talk about all the work he needs done, though.

That’s OK, Donkey. Gingy can hook you up.

Shrek 5 stars Mike Myers (Shrek), Eddie Murphy (Donkey), Cameron Diaz (Fiona), Zendaya (Felicia), Marcello Hernandez (Fergus), and Skyler Gisondo (Farkle), and Conrad Vernon (Gingy).

The film is directed by Conrad Vernon (Shrek 2, Madagascar 3, Monsters vs. Aliens) and Walt Dohrn (Trolls, Trolls World Tour, Trolls Band Together). Brad Ableson (Minions: The Rise of Gru) is co-directing.

Gina Shay (Trolls, Shrek Forever After) and Chris Meledandri (CEO, Illumination) are producing the film.

Fans can watch the Shrek family’s next adventure when Shrek 5 releases on June 20, 2027.
