Scrooge McDuck Is The Master of Millions And Now A Master Craft Statue

Beast Kingdom‘s line of Master Craft statues is making room for Scrooge McDuck and his mountains of money. The frugal fowl features his full DuckTales attire, including his blue waistcoat, black tophat, and red spats. In his right hand, Scrooge holds his lucky dime. At McDucks’s feet lay a gold bar sporting the DuckTales brand and where this duck sits in the line of 3,000 other statues.

According to Beast Kingdom, the entire thing sits about 39cm tall and is made of “poly.” I’m going to guess that’s just short for polystone. We won’t have to wait too long for this Duckburg resident to nest in our homes. Scrooge McDuck will be released this June. Have you saved yer pennies? Because The miserly billionaire will set you back $199.99.

The MC Scrooge McDuck, recreates the finest details of the character, from the clothing of the self-proclaimed gentleman to the piles of golden coins he stands atop. No details are spared, and exclusively for the long-term eagle-eyed fans, Uncle Scrooge is seen holding the very first coin he earned as a child.

While DuckTales is a part of my childhood, I’d be interested to see these studios explore some of the older versions of Scrooge. The red waistcoat days, way back when, I mean. The revived series did bring this look back to the mainstream, but I miss the rougher, less uniformed look of McDuck before the Disney Afternoon days.

We used to get shown the 1967 educational film at school. That may have been my first time seeing the character. Funny how a decades-old filmstrip has more financial wisdom than most of our economist talking heads on TV.
