The runDisney Virtual Series is now open for registration on the runDisney site.
This year’s theme is the Lion King with three 5k races available for $40 each and the whole series with completer medal available for $145.

It did open earlier than the 10AM time and many people are in virtual queues. These do sell out quickly since people are wanting to participate in a runDisney event and we haven’t had any in park events for quite awhile.

Here’s the write-up:
“This summer, join runDisney in celebrating 6 years of the runDisney Virtual Series as we honor the timeless majesty of The Lion King with 3 wild and wonderful 5Ks. So, put on your manes and tails and prepare to rule the road, sidewalk or treadmill. Each event features a medal inspired by The Lion King, and if you run all 3, a fourth runDisney Virtual Challenge medal is yours! You can even download a themed bib and a Virtual Series at-home tool kit that includes a starting line, finishing line and printable mile markers.”
There three 5k races are themed to the classic film, Broadway, and the latest live-action movie.

If you are interested hurry and register. Make sure you input your completion times when you finish during the time frame.
