runDisney Virtual Run Medals Unveiled-Registration Now Open But Not For International Participants?

runDisney launched the registration for the Virtual Summer Series today and registration is now open (if you can get through.)

Now it was a fiasco when it launched. Many people were upset because they couldn’t get through to register. It took me 45 minutes to get through and I do these all the time.  I wasn’t alone!

International participants were upset that they can’t participate in this one, when they normally can. They didn’t find out until they waded into the registration fiasco and finally got through.

Why is this not available to Canadians? We’ve participated in park runs and have had to have medals shipped here before.

Why don’t you allow Canadians to register for the Virtual runs anymore? It is a missed opportunity especially for those that can’t make it to the actual races. It also allows those that may not be able to keep up with a reg marathon. Come on Disney

Why is it only open to US residents? And why wasn’t there any note about it on the website beforehand? Absolutely crushed. Was looking forward to this. 🙄

Now, it looks like registrations are going through. I would get it sooner rather than later.  I get why it’s so popular, the medals are AMAZING, especially the Haunted Mansion one. Plus people are bored at home.
