A Recent Rumor brought to us my YouTuber “Mike Zeroh”. Mike Zeroh is knows for making videos on supposed “Leaks” for Lucasfilm Projects but doesn’t always have the best track record when it comes to accuracy, so take this Rumor with a Massive Grain of Salt.
According to the supposed scoop, Mike Zeroh reports that Keanu Reeves has been approached for a Star Role in an upcoming Disney Plus Television Series where he would play Sith King Valar set in the times of the Old Republic, not the High Republic, the Old Republic. He would portray the character across multiple Star Wars projects both in Television, Film, Video Games and perhaps even Theme Park Attractions.
The First Major Red Flag would of course be the supposed show being set in the Old Republic, a beloved era by fans but was wiped away clean by Kathleen Kennedy when she took over as head of Lucasfilm. Perhaps if the supposed show will be set in the Old Republic than perhaps this is being put into motion for when Kennedy will “Step Down From Her Role As Head Of Lucasfilm” AKA Get Fired.
Another thing to point out is that Many fans have been suggesting that Keanu Reeves should play fan favorite Old Republic character “Darth Revan”. If this Old Republic Project is meant to try to bring back the fans then it would honestly make ore sense to use familiar characters instead of just making up new ones. The Three Old Republic Games already have plenty of characters you could adapt, so why make a New OC?
Again these are Just Rumors from a source that is known to have a 50/50 track record, so it’s most likely a 50/50 chance this is even real. Who knows, perhaps the High Republic was such a failure that we’d get the Old Republic in Films and TV instead. Only the Force knows.
