RUMOR: Fantastic Four Reboot To Feature Female Silver Surfer

ATTENTION: THE FOLLOWING REPORT IS A RUMOR. PLEASE TAKE THE FOLLOWING STORY WITH A GRAIN OF SALT.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe hasn’t been having the best luck as of late. 2023 has seen a number of films and shows preform below expectations such as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Secret Invasion and especially The Marvels have seemingly done more harm than good.

Marvel is seemingly trying to course correct with multiple upcoming projects. Deadpool 3 is expected to be a crowd pleaser with the Blade film getting redone from the ground up.

But one of the biggest projects that the studio needs to do well is their reboot of the Fantastic Four. Many argue that the team has yet to receive a faithful film adaptation despite many tries.

Recently, it had been reported that Star Wars actor Pedro Pascal was in talks to play Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic. While not confirmed some fans felt uncertain as John Krasinski’s appearance as the character in Doctor Strange 2 was met with much fanfare. Now, an even crazier rumor has people even more divided.

According to industry insider Jeff Snyder via the Hot Mic Podcast, when discussing the Fantastic Four reboot he made the comment: “And yes, you can expect to see a female Silver Surfer.

While not conformation, it should be noted that there was indeed, at one point in the comics, a female Silver Surfer named Juno who first appeared in the Hercules comic book series in 2010. The title of Silver Surfer can be passed from person to person.

However, many fans are more familiar with the Norrin Radd version, which was featured in the 2007 film Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. It is unknown how fans may react if this rumor is true.

What do you think? How would you feel about a female Silver Surfer in the Fantastic Four reboot?
