RUMOR: Bryan Cranston Eyed To Become The New Professor X

ATTENTION: THE FOLLOWING REPORT IS A RUMOR. PLEASE TAKE THE FOLLOWING STORY WITH A GRAIN OF SALT.

With the X-Men now under the Marvel umbrella following nearly two decades at 20th Century Fox, things seem to be going well with the success of Deadpool & Wolverine. With the third and possibly final Deadpool movie serving as a sort of bookend to that era of the characters many are speculating what the future holds for the uncanny heroes and who will portray them on screen.

One of those characters people are wondering about is Prof. Charles Xavier aka Professor X. The character was previously portrayed by Patrick Stewart in the original timeline then by James McAvoy in the “First Class” timeline. But many are wondering what this new era will have in store.

For some time it has been rumored that former Breaking Bad actor Giancarlo Esposito would portray the character before being cast as Sidewinder in Captain America: Brave New World. But as fate would have it, another former Breaking Bad actor may have a chance as the fancy wheelchair.

According to insider Marvel Scoops on X/Twitter actor Bryan Cranston, known for television roles such as Hal Miller in Malcom in the Middle and Walter White in Breaking Bad, as well as film roles like Joe Brody in the 2014 Godzilla and Zordon in the 2017 Power Rangers, is being eyed for the role of Professor X in the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars.

While this may be a rumor Cranston would arguably fit the role quote well. Many of his fans are used to him having a bald head, and seeing him take on a leadership position over a team of heroes  may redeem his rather odd depiction of Zordon.

What do you think? Would Cranston make a good Professor X? Or is there someone else who you think would be a better fit? Let us know your thoughts.
