‘Rise of the Resistance’ Opens in Disneyland, Breaks Down Almost Immediately

Rise of the Resistance has finally opened on the West Coast.

But unfortunately, some of the problems that plague the Walt Disney World version seem to be plaguing the Disneyland version right out of the gate.

The new Star Wars ride brought massive crowds, and Boarding Passes were gone within minutes, according to Twitter.

And many guests were not amused. Especially since lines began forming around 2:00 a.m.

And then the ride decides to go East Coast and break down around 9:55 a.m. It remained down for approximately an hour, according to reports.

 

Naturally, some people were unhappy. And there’s a lot of tweets about waiting. And waiting. And waiting…

But The Force was unusually strong with some folks…

Hopefully, the Disneyland crowd won’t get as salty as some Guests at Walt Disney World

Yikes!

It’s clear that the ride system may have some initial bumps to smooth out. But here’s hoping that Disney has learned from similar incidents in Hollywood Studios and is able to get the ride back up and running at a faster pace.

Rise of the Resistance will basically make or break Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland at this point, and they can’t afford the bad look of having it break down every other day.
