Just a couple of weeks ago I reported that we would likely see Riri Williams aka Ironheart in Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever. Now that has seemingly been confirmed by Comicbook.com. Now Iron Heart actress Dominique Thorne will debut in Black Panther 2 ahead of her Disney+ series.
Kevin Feige apparently confirmed this in an interview “We’re shooting Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, right now, and the character of Riri Williams, you will meet in Black Panther 2 first.”
Disney is likely learning that you need to anchor new characters in films and shows starring characters people already know. Which is why they are putting Ms. Marvel in the Marvels and they put Monica Rambeau in WandaVision.
For those that aren’t familiar with the character Riri Williams/ Ironheart is basically a female genius who makes a super suit like Tony Stark. They need an Iron Man but killed off theirs so now they have the female version they’re trying to make stick for Phase 4.
Now we have her first appearance apparently confirmed.
