Pizza Ponte in Disney Springs rings in November with an Apple Pie Cannoli. Of course, we went to try this one.

Pizza Ponte presents guests with some of the best counter service pizza at Walt Disney World Resort. Of course, many would consider that achievement to be unimpressive. Most counter service pizza at Walt Disney World Resort fails to be anything more than an average frozen pizza. From a food blogger standpoint, we almost always avoid counter service pizza at Walt Disney World.

Still, one exception resides at Disney Springs at Pizza Ponte. This place periodically offers limited-time menu items. For example, we enjoyed the Pizza Diavola during the Flavors of Florida event.
For November, Pizza Ponte announced a new dessert that we think sounds wonderful. On social media, Pizza Ponte announced this new treat would be available through November 26. Pizza Ponte stated they were “Introducing our Cannoli Alla Torta Di Mele! This “Apple Pie Cannoli” is a seasonal specialty made with sweet ricotta, cinnamon apple pie filling, and crunchy caramel pearls. Based on this description, we felt compelled to add to our daily sugar intake.
Cannoli Alla Torta Di Mele (Apple Pie Cannoli) from Pizza Ponte – $9.00

Pizza Ponte offers a more traditional cannoli for a slightly lower price. However, we wanted to try the brand-new cannoli.
Based on the description, we expected far more apple pie filling. However, we found a small amount of apple pie filling on the end of the cannoli. We saw and tasted the crunchy caramel pearls on the other side of the cannoli. For fans of a traditional cannoli, you will be happy to know that the sweet ricotta dominates this new dessert in a good way.

For the most part, the other components are afterthoughts. The apple pie filling and caramel pearls were good. Still, they do not star in these cannoli enough compared to the shell and the sweet ricotta.
We thought that these cannoli were good. Nevertheless, they lack value compared to other sweet treats we have enjoyed at Disney Springs recently.
Now, if you are dining at Pizza Ponte wanting a dessert, this makes a good change of pace. However, unlike some other popular sweet treat options at Disney Springs, we would not race to order this again. As always, eat like you mean it!
