Yes, we go to Walt Disney World for the experience and the attractions. But, let’s be honest and say that we also go for the food. Walt Disney World is known for having interesting and unique snacks throughout the resort. Foodies who visit the resort have their favorite snacks that they gravitate towards during each visit.
When I think of snacks that are a go to, the park that I think of the most is Epcot. There are a plethora of different snacks to choose from because of all the countries and different eateries around the World Showcase. I do not normally think of Animal Kingdom as a beacon of great snacks. I have made it a mission to see what delicious snacks are available at Animal Kingdom.
A quick Google search gives you lists of snacks to try in each park from different sites. I just looked at these list as a jumping off point and just decided to basically stop at every snack location.
First stop was Mr. Kamal’s in the Asia section of Animal Kingdom. This snack spot is on the path to Africa near the Feathered Friends in Flight show. I’ve heard a lot about Mr. Kamal’s, but I’ve never stopped there.
Mr. Kamal’s offers Chicken Dumplings with Ponzu and Mr. Kamal’s Seasoned Fries along with an array of drinks including alcohol. The Seasoned Fries include two sauces: Curried Honey Mustard and Korean Chili Ketchup. We ordered both of the snacks.

My husband, son, and I all enjoyed the French fries. The seasoning certainly adds a different level of flavor. Both sauces were delicious, but we both preferred the Curried Honey Mustard. I thought the fries were good, but they certainly are not my favorite snack in Walt Disney World. I would certainly advocate to try them, though, as they are delicious.

The Chicken Dumplings were underwhelming. Again, they were good, but they aren’t something that I will go out of my way to eat again. However, they were also good dipped in the Curried Honey Mustard from the Seasoned French Fries.
Overall, I’d say that Mr. Kamal’s is good. Is it my favorite park snack? No. The fries were definitely the more superior of the two snacks.
