The Letters to Santa Milkshake is the holiday offering at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen. Each seasonal change at Universal Orlando brings a new milkshake to this restaurant.

This all-new milkshake includes coquito ice cream, dulce de leche, a chocolate Christmas card, candy cane sprinkles, and whipped topping. The appearance of this milkshake measures up nicely to the solid reputation of the good-looking milkshakes sold at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium. We especially love the chocolate letter on top and the candy cane sprinkles around the rim. The quality of flavor of those qualifies as above average. Neither will amaze you. Despite that, those components make a nice touch.

As mentioned, this milkshake looks great. The whipped cream enhances the quality of this shake.

However, the main ingredient, the coquito ice cream, does not measure up to the other components. We expected a more powerful flavor. The coquito ice cream holds this milkshake back. Coquito is a creamy, tropical Puerto Rican holiday drink with plenty of coconut flavor. This usually includes evaporated and condensed milk, cream of coconut, spices, and rum. As expected, The Letters to Santa Milkshake at Universal Orlando does not include rum, unlike the usual holiday drink. The coconut flavor and pieces dominate this milkshake.

In simple terms, this ice cream needs some rum. For perspective, this qualifies as the opinion of @pastorjonself and others who tasted the milkshake with him. When someone who rarely drinks in the group states that a dessert needs alcohol, we feel that it speaks volumes.

The composition of this milkshake should have worked well. However, the coquito ice cream hinders this, making it not worth the money, in our opinion.

With so many other tasty desserts to try at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium, we would select one of those with our vacation money. As always, eat like you mean it!
