My personal diet consists of a high percentage of chicken sandwiches and French fries. My mobile phone contains an entire section of fast-food apps. As a result, my ordering history indicates plenty of chicken sandwiches. Since my day job is as a Baptist clergy member, I know chicken. Well, at least I know Chick Fil-a sandwiches since they heavily market my industry. The “Hand-Breaded Chicken Sandwich” at Connections Eatery draws comparison to the Chick Fil-a version.

Connections Eatery, in the World Celebration neighborhood of Epcot, continues to be busy. Additional seating was added the day I wrote this review. Also, sources tell me that cast members are requiring people to order food before entering this large comfortable dining area. For record, I think this awkward change needed to happen based on difficulty getting a table in this large seating area.
This chicken sandwich costs $11.99. The menu description sounds a bit boring. The menu tells you that you get a sandwich with a toasted brioche bun, signature sauce, and house-made pickles. Of course, the sandwich includes a large piece of breaded chicken. You may get a side of fries, a small salad, or one small orange.

So, is this sandwich worth your time? Well, this menu item offers a nice safe choice. Picky diners will find this sandwich pleasing. The portion size of the chicken merits compliments by theme park standards. The brioche bun provides a nice touch. However, the bun merely serves as a medium for the sandwich. The brioche flavor of this bun pales in comparison to brioche breads served in other theme parks in the area. The signature sauce matches solidly with this sandwich. Most guests find the sauce to be a neutral flavor, however, in this sandwich. Of course, the obligatory pickle comes with this style of chicken sandwich. For those of us that prefer to avoid pickles, beware of the juice.

Compiling lots of different perspectives, this chicken sandwich ranges in quality between the Chick Fil-A version and the Burger King version. Remember you were warned about my fast-food chicken sandwich knowledge. Basically, the quality of this sandwich functions as a safe fast-food fried chicken sandwich. I have heard a few complaints about the bottom section of the bun becoming soggy. Once again, I blame that on the pickle more than the chicken. In fairness, that happens at the best run Chick Fil-a restaurants sometimes also (unless you mobile order with no pickles like I do).
All in all, this sandwich makes a decent option for counter service. True, it might be the real plates you get here that make the sandwich taste better here. Maybe, the free soft drink refills while you dine here make this sandwich better. Now, if they could only upgrade those fries. As always, eat like you mean it!
