Halloween Horror Nights has kicked off at Universal Orlando, and now we have yet another review for you on some of the food at the event. Two of our reporters tried the Birria Beef offerings at the Cat Lady of Crooked Lane food cart.
Let’s see what they thought.
First up is the Flamin’ Hot Birria Ramen for $15.99

The description reads “Tender Birria beef on ramen noodles in a Flamin’ Hot (Cheetos) Birria consomme broth, with shaved onions, scallions, and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.”
How was it?
My ramen-loving reporter described the dish as “savory and spicy.” She said the beef was tender and the onions had a nice crunch that contrasted well with the soft noodles. You also get a lot.
The downside is that the noodles tasted more like cup ramen noodles, and the Cheetos get soggy, which are not as good as crunchy Cheetos.
However, that did not deter her from giving it an 8/10.
Tostitos Birria Beef Walking Taco – $14.99

The Walking Taco description reads “Birria Beef with Tostitos Sabritas Salsa Verde, red onions, scallions, and consomme.”
Overall, our reporter said the taco was tangy, crunchy, and savory, but it lacked sauce. However, if you like Walking Tacos it’s good.
They gave it a 9/10.
I have read that some feel the salsa verde flavoring is too strong. It seems to depend on how you feel about salsa verde flavor powder.
There is also a vegan option of the Walking Taco for $14.99.
Two drinks are also available.
- Berry Scary – $18 for 20 oz. souvenir cup | $14 for souvenir refill | $14 for 12 oz. single serving.
- Sour Puss – $18 for 20 oz. souvenir cup | $14 for souvenir refill | $14 for 12 oz. single serving.
