Red Lobster’s $1 appetizer deal runs through Oct. 12 with coconut shrimp, shrimp cocktail or cheese sticks. Endless Shrimp also adds an Old Bay flavor, and kids eat free on Halloween weekend.
A dollar still buys something at Red Lobster, at least for a few more days.
The Orlando-based seafood chain is selling select appetizers for $1 with an entree from Oct. 9 through Oct. 12, Sporked reported. That’s Friday through Monday, so there’s still time this weekend.
And yes, shrimp is on the menu.
What are the $1 appetizers at Red Lobster?
You get to pick one of three:
-
Parrot Isle Coconut Shrimp: three hand-breaded jumbo coconut shrimp with pina colada sauce
-
Shrimp Cocktail: four jumbo shrimp with cocktail sauce
-
Mozzarella Cheesesticks: four mozzarella sticks with marinara
The shrimp cocktail gets you one more shrimp than the coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp gets you pina colada sauce. Choose wisely.
What are the rules for Red Lobster’s $1 appetizer deal?
There are a few:
-
One $1 appetizer per entree
-
Dine-in only
-
Can’t be combined with other offers or rewards
-
Only at participating U.S. restaurants
So no, you can’t order 20 plates of coconut shrimp for $20. Somebody always asks.
What is the new Endless Shrimp flavor at Red Lobster?
Old Bay Seasoned Scampi joins the Endless Shrimp lineup starting Oct. 12, according to Sporked.
Endless Shrimp costs $24.99 at most participating locations. You can mix and match as many rounds as you want from six flavors:
-
Old Bay Seasoned Scampi (new)
-
Garlic Bread-Crusted Shrimp
-
Shrimp Linguini Alfredo
-
Garlic Shrimp Scampi
-
Parrot Isle Coconut Shrimp
-
Walt’s Favorite Shrimp
It comes with a side and Cheddar Bay Biscuits. It’s dine-in only and for a limited time.
Does Red Lobster have a late-night happy hour?
Starting Oct. 12, yes. Red Lobster’s new Late Night Happy Hour runs Monday through Friday from 9 p.m. to close at participating restaurants, on top of the regular 3 to 6 p.m. happy hour.
Happy hour deals include $6 select cocktails, wine and beer, and $2 off starters like Lobster Flatbread, Crab Queso and Lobster Dip.
There’s also a new Fire & Tide Margarita made with Cuervo tequila and Fireball cinnamon whisky. It’s $6 during happy hour, with a Mega size for $3 more. Fireball in a margarita is a choice, but somebody at Red Lobster clearly believes in it.
Do kids eat free at Red Lobster on Halloween?
Kids in costume can get a free meal from Oct. 30 through Nov. 1 with a full-price adult entree, Sporked reported.
-
Each adult entree covers up to two free kids’ meals.
-
There’s a limit of two free kids’ meals per table.
-
It’s for dine-in guests at participating restaurants in the U.S. and Canada.
-
Ordering online? The code SPOOKY26 gets one free kids’ meal with a full-price adult entree, worth up to $9.99.
Is Red Lobster still in trouble?
The chain went through a rough stretch. Red Lobster filed for bankruptcy in May 2024, and its all-you-can-eat Endless Shrimp deal got a lot of the blame for its money problems. It came out of bankruptcy later that year under new owners.
Since then, it has leaned on deals like this one to get people back in the door. Endless Shrimp is back on the menu, just at a higher price than the $20 version that made headlines.
Where is Red Lobster’s headquarters?
Orlando. So if you’re in town for Disney World, you’re not far from the chain’s home base, and there are several Red Lobster restaurants around Orlando.
Prices and participation can vary by location, so it’s smart to check with your local Red Lobster before you head over. The $1 appetizers end Monday, Oct. 12.
