Yesterday we reported that Disney’s choice for Snow White, Rachel Zegler, was making multiple posts against President Trump and those who supported him. Using the “F” word and wishing him and his supporters no peace.
“i find myself speechless in the midst of this. another four years of hatred, leaning us towards a world i do not want to live in. leaning us towards a world that will be hard to raise my daughter in. leaning us towards a world that will force her to have a baby she doesn’t want. leaning us towards a world that is fearful.
i shouldn’t be this shocked. but i am. i am heartbroken for my friends who awoke fear this morning. and i am here with you. to cry, to yell, to hug. to wax poetic on how the left continues to fail us in forging a new path forward. this loss should not have been. and it certainly should not have been by so many votes.
i echo ethel cain’s statement more than anything. may trump supporters and trump voters and trump himself never know peace.”
Rachel Zegler apologizes
Either Disney threatened her or someone talked to her because now she has apologized saying,
“I let my emotions get the best of me. Hatred and anger have caused us to move further and further away from peace and understanding, and I am sorry I contributed to the negative discourse.
This week has been emotional for so many of us, but I firmly believe that everyone has the right to their opinion, even when it differs from my own. I am committed to contributing positively toward a better tomorrow.”
Her tirade has been condemned by multiple new outlets at this point, with many saying it was a bad move when over half the country supported Donald Trump and voters are turning on Hollywood in droves.
Disney has to be in a panic. They refused to scrap this film no matter how many times Zegler shot her mouth off and interest was already low. Then adding the lawsuit they are in with Gina Carano over her termination for political posting that somehow was allowed for male actors like Pedro Pascal, Mark Hamill, and Mark Rufallo.
Zegler has been posting manifestos like these in the past and nothing was ever done to stop her until it became clear that the majority was not on the side Hollywood thought it was on. Now she is being told to stop. Frankly she may have already cost herself her career as she will be viewed as a liability by the studios.
Studios will sue over damages from this kind of behavior.
Many people voted the way they did because they believed it was for a “better tomorrow.” That has yet to be seen but her comments and behavior was exactly why people are turning against celebrities and the Hollywood machine.
Disney’s live-action “Snow White” will release in theaters on March 21, 2025.
