Police Have Identified Woman Who Jumped From the Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World

With all the news of closures many have forgotten about the suicide that happened at the Contemporary Resort on March 4th.

According to the Irish Sun authorities have identified the woman as 22-year old Jasmine Lena-Keturah Samuels. She fell 50 feet from the parking garage.

The Irish Sun obtained this information from the incident report filed with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office:

Her mother Delores Sanders called police after her daughter fled the car when they arrived at Walt Disney World.

“Delores said she was waiting for a parking space on the second floor of the Lime Garage in row six or seven when Jasmine ran out the car towards Disney Springs to the escalator because she just did not want to wait.”

Apparently Ms. Samuels  “diagnosed with ADD, Schizophrenia, and was currently taking medication.”

The report also stated that Jasmine worked at Disney Springs at the valet over a year ago and previously worked at the Contemporary Resort, according to her mother, Delores.

There were a few witnesses to the event including a maid who worked at the Contemporary resort that say her jump from the 4th floor of the Contemporary Observation deck. The victim landed near her on the ground and Dorida tried calling for help. Two other witnesses also gave statements.

It’s a terrible tragedy and our thoughts go out to her family and friends.
