Disney will close Peter Pan’s Flight at Walt Disney World on July 8. It is unclear what changes will be made to Peter Pan’s Flight. Many expect cultural sensitivity changes to the attraction, most likely with the Neverland Tribe.

Disney has been trying to remove “problematic” elements from their attractions. Recent changes have included the Wench auction and redhead in Pirates of the Caribbean, the natives and Trader Sam in the Jungle Cruise, all of Splash Mountain to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and changes to the Country Bear Jamboree.
Peter Pan’s Flight will be closed for at least six weeks. The schedule shows the shutdown from July 8 to August 20. However, as WDWNT pointed out, the schedule only goes until August 20, 2024. The closure could be longer, as Test Track shows closure until August 20, 2024. We know Test Track will be closed until 2025.
At this point, the earliest Peter Pan’s Flight could reopen is August 21.
Walt Disney World was likely waiting until Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened to the public before closing another popular attraction. However, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open with a Virtual Queue, which means it will likely not pull enough people to offset what Peter Pan’s Flight did since there is no standby line. So expect all the other ride lines to get worse.
