Peter Pan’s Flight Reopens With Predictable Changes To the Neverland Indians Scene

Disney has reopened Peter Pan’s Flight at the Walt Disney World Resort four days early, and it’s just as we expected. The refurbishment redid the Neverland Indians scene and removed most of the recognizable characters from the film.

The new scene is Tiger Lily dancing with another girl and an Indian group drumming together.

Gone is the original version featuring Tiger Lily’s father, the Indian chief.

The teepees remain, but they have been repainted to reflect more earth tones and less dramatic coloring.

Thankfully, they did not completely remove the scene from the attraction. I was worried they might. While this doesn’t reflect the film, it is definitely not a worst-case scenario and still works within the ride.

It’s cute and does offer more movement than the previous version.

WDWNT shared the new scene on TikTok.

Overall, I don’t hate it. Disney purists will not like it, for sure. I like the Tiger Lily change. It adds movement. It’s a mixed bag, but at least they are still there. I just wish they kept more original characters in the scene.
