Peter Dinklage has found himself in two viral rumors this week, and neither had anything to do with his insistance that Disney’s “Snow White” demeans people with Dwarfism. One rumor is about his alleged death and one is about a movie poster for “Elf 2.”
Dinlage’s “Death”
No. Peter Dinklage did not die in an accident at Disneyland. This rumor comes for a parody account @Mcbride69 on TikTok.
In the “video” a picture of actor Jason Momoa is posted with “Peter Dinklage 1969-2024” written on it, while “Amazing Grace” is playing in the background. The accompanying text is written like an official report and says,
“Peter Dinklage Dies in Tragic Rollercoaster Accident at Disneyland Orlando
Orlando, FL – Acclaimed actor Peter Dinklage, best known for his iconic role as Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones, tragically passed away on Thursday after a freak accident at Disneyland Orlando. According to witnesses, the incident occurred on a rollercoaster ride where park-goers allege safety protocols might not have been adequately enforced.
Dinklage, 54, was visiting the amusement park with friends and family when the accident happened. The actor was reportedly riding a rollercoaster designed for children but was later determined to fall below the height requirements for safe operation. Witnesses describe a horrifying scene in which Dinklage was ejected from his seat during a sharp turn on the ride. Despite immediate emergency medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.”
It’s obviously not real from the first glance as the actor named isn’t even the correct one shown.
He did not die because he was too short for a children’s coaster.
This leads me to the second rumor, “Elf 2.”
Dinklage to Star in “Elf 2” this Christmas.
Once again, the satirical Facebook account YODA BBY ABY has got people worked up over a fake movie poster.
This time, the poster features Will Ferrell as Buddy the Elf and says that the film will star both Will Ferrell and Peter Dinklage.
It’s not real. But it is a great idea for a sequel film!
