Disney has rules against being in the water in undesignated areas of their theme parks, but that didn’t stop a guest from swimming in the Rivers of America at the Magic Kingdom.
The Rivers of America is the waterway area in Frontierland and Liberty Square in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. This area is dangerous due to unknown parasites in the water, alligators, and even the Disney watercraft that transports guests to Tom Sawyer Island or around the water loop on the Liberty Belle.
A TikTok video posted by @jeffreytillitt shows an individual swimming around the water on July 16, 2024.
He seemingly moves from Tom Sawyer Island toward the land near Big Thunder Mountain.

You need to wait for the boat.
This is not the first time someone has been in the water.
Previously guests have been caught in fountains.
In the water at EPCOT.
Or in the Sassagoula River at the Disney Resorts.
These waterways are restricted for a reason. They are dangerous to guests and could lead to harm or illness. In one instance, a child was pulled away by an alligator and died.
Comments on the video were quick to point out the dangers of this behavior:

According to the video poster, cast members appeared to take charge of the situation.
Do not do this. I don’t care how hot Florida is. This is very dangerous and could lead to severe injury or death.
