Orlando International Airport Gets Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Touches

If you are flying in or out of the Orlando International Airport you will be able to see the new Disney touches that have been added to the location ahead of the 50th Anniversary celebration.

Several Disney touches have been added including:

  • “Wide-spanning art installation in the terminal train stations featuring the Disney Fab 50 Character collection.”

  • A photo op with a golden teacup that represents the Mad Tea Party attraction.
  • EARidescent light projections walking through the airport terminal outside of the Magic of Disney Store in the East Hall.

  • In that area there will also be “a 36-foot video screen showcasing the shimmering EARidescence of the four parks ‘Beacons of Magic.”  (Which is the lighting attached to the four park icons: Cinderella Castle (Magic Kingdom), Spaceship Earth (EPCOT,) The Tree of Life (Animal Kingdom) and the Hollywood Tower Hotel (Disney’s Hollywood Studios.)

The installation is there in time for the start of the 50th Anniversary celebration and will stay there until March 2022, at the end of the 18 month celebration.
