‘Onward’ Comes to Disney+ Today

Just posting this reminder that the film Onward comes to Disney+ today, April 3rd!

For those that don’t know Onward is a story about:

“Teenage elf brothers Ian and Barley embark on a magical quest to spend one more day with their late father. Like any good adventure, their journey is filled with cryptic maps, impossible obstacles and unimaginable discoveries. But when dear Mom finds out her sons are missing, she teams up with the legendary manticore to bring her beloved boys back home.”

Cinema Blend talked to director Dan Scanlon and producer Kori Rae about it’s early release to Digital and Disney+. Here’s what Dan Scanlon thought about the move by Disney:

“Clearly, the right thing to do is for everyone to stay in and be safe and take care of themselves. That said, it’s pretty great that folks are getting to see it online and that people are getting to have a little moment of joy, hopefully, or a little distraction with the film. And it’s been really wonderful to hear on social media, how much they enjoyed the film, how much they enjoyed getting to watch it with their family. And that it did bring them some joy during this time.”
