One Piece x SpongeBob will be coming to the United States and Canadian McDonald’s locations, according to a recent update on social media. The major campaign is set to roll out in August.
Bikini Bottom is located somewhere in the Grand Line, at least for this new collaboration between One Piece, SpongeBob SquarePants, and McDonald’s.
The One Piece account made the rumor official.

McDonald’s locations in Azerbaijan, United States, Argentina, Italy, Isreal, Indonesia, Ukraine, Uruguay, Ecuador, Estonia, El Salvador, Australia, Austria, Netherlands, Canada, Korea, Greece, Cyprus, Guatemala, Croatia, Costa Rica, Colombia, Georgia, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Thailand, Czech Republic, China, Chile, Denmark, Germany, Turkey, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Norway, Hungary, Panama, Paraguay, Fiji, Philippines, Finland, Brazil, France, Bulgaria, Brunei, Vietnam, Venezuela, Belgium, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Hong Kong, Honduras, Malta, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Morocco, Latvia, Lithuania, and Romania will be getting the toy collaboration.
These will NOT be released in Japan.
A release in Japan is not happening after issues with other major releases like Pokémon led to food waste, extreme crowds, scalping, and more.
What are the toy mashups?

- SpongeBob × Luffy
- Patrick × Zoro
- Sandy × Nami
- SpongeBob × Luffy Gear 5
- Pearl × Robin
- Larry × Franky
- Mr. Krabs × Jinbe
- Mrs. Puff × Big Mom
- Plankton × Usopp
- Squidward × Sanji
- Gary × Chopper
- Flying Dutchman × Blackbeard
These are set to release sequentially later this month. Canada’s release window is August 18 – September 21.
It is unclear when they will be released in the United States, as the Hello Kitty x Godzilla collection will also start on August 18.
This collaboration will likely be released after the Hello Kitty x Godzilla one.
