A recent article by the International Theme Park Service claims that all the cool teens and Gen Z are “Splooting.”
Is it April 1st again?
I was convinced this was coming from Mouse Trap News.
What the heck is splooting?
It’s usually seen in regard to dogs and animals splaying out to lay down or cool down. Somehow the ITPS thinks that is it the latest hip trend with the kids.
Don’t worry I don’t think your kids are going to start laying on the dirty ground “splooting” at theme parks for TikTok clout.
In their article, which features AI images of people “splooting” they claim that there are trending hashtags on X, Instagram and TikTok including, “#SplootForThePark, #ThemeParkSploot, and #FourthOfJulySplootOff.”
But there aren’t any results for these terms.
Search results yielded nothing.

Did the AI crap the bed and take over their news?
My kids are both Gen Z and they thought it was hilarious. My son said “What the heck is Splooting?” Followed by “That is NOT a real thing.”
So no. You do not have to worry about people splooting all over the place and blocking walkways and doors. You still have to worry about wannabe influencers sitting in the streets and blocking doors for pictures though.
Thank goodness it isn’t really happeneing or I was going to go full old “get off my lawn” Karen over people lying on the ground and blocking others.
