No, Disney and Pixar Are Not Making a Chalino Sánchez Film for Disney+

A new trending image has been floating around the internet seemingly showing famous Mexican singer Chalino Sánchez. The image appears to be a Disney Pixar animated film poster for a movie about the singer’s life. But is it true?

No, at this time Disney has not announced plans to make a film based on Chalino Sánchez.  It is yet another AI generated image made to trick social media. Disney is not currently making a film about the iconic Mexican singer-songwriter.

The image is making rounds on social media.

It’s easy to understand why people would be excited about the prospect though. Rosalino “Chalino” Sánchez Félix was a self-taught musician who had his own unique style and life story that resonated with many. His music is part of the corridors genre and often reflected his own life experiences.

He came to the United States in the 1970’s and had a large fan base in Califorina. Sadly in 1992 he was killed in Culiacán, Sinaloa. He was only 31 years old.

Sadly, this poster is not real. It’s just another one of the AI generated images that people have been creating to trick Disney fans. The first one that gained attention was an image with two girls holding a cup. This was a play on a raunchy film called “Two Girls One Cup.”

Since that image gained traction we have seen other fake images appear like one for a Holocaust film called “‘Caust” and one for a film called “Floyd” about George Floyd.

At least this poster is for something less awful that many would like to see.

But until Disney confirms that a film is coming out do not believe it. Especially in regards to these AI generated film posters. Definitely not ones based on things Disney would never do.
