If you are Gen Z, you likely grew up with Phineas and Ferb on the Disney Channel, or you may have been the parent of a child who loved the show (and secretly also loved it.) The popular show ran from 2007 to 2015. Now it’s coming back for a Season 5 in June, and Disney has released a trailer for the new season!
It looks about the same, and I’m so happy it does. So often studios try to update or change things and ruin popular IP in the process.
Here is the write-up.
“Phineas and Ferb” follows the inventive stepbrothers as they tackle another 104 days of summer. Candace is more determined than ever to finally bust her little brothers, while their pet platypus, Perry, continues to lead a double life as the suave “Agent P,” whose sole mission is to thwart Dr. Doofenshmirtz from taking over the Tri-State Area.”
When will it air?

A sneak peek of the new season will debut on Monday, May 26, at 11:35 am on Disney Channel, Disney XD, and the Disney Channel YouTube.
The first two episodes will launch on June 5 on the Disney Channel and Disney XD at 8 PM PST / 11 PM EST. The first episode will air on the Disney Channel YouTube channel as well.
Then, the entire 10-episode season will come to Disney+ on June 6 in the United States and some international markets.
Launching the sneak peek and the first two episodes on the Disney Channel is an interesting choice given that Disney has had a massive drop-off in Disney Channel and Disney XD viewership since the show first aired. In the last ten years Disney Channel’s numbers dropped from 2 million in 2014 to only about 132k in 2023.
Maybe they are trying to revive their linear channels?
Either way, we have more “Phineas and Ferb” coming.
