The next Mario Bros. film, “Super Mario Galaxy,” is set to hit theaters in about three weeks. Ahead of the film’s release, some casting has been announced, including Donald Glover as Yoshi. Plus, there is a new trailer!
The announcement for Glover and other new voices was made by Illumination CEO and producer Chris Meledandri during the Nintendo Direct livestream today.

They will join Chris Pratt (Mario), Anya Taylor-Joy (Princess Peach), Charlie Day (Luigi), Jack Black (Bowser), Keegan-Michael Key (Toad), Kevin Michael Richardson (Kamek), Benny Safdie (Bowser Jr.), and Brie Larson (Princess Rosalina).
I love how they are tying in various Mario games into this film.
“Super Mario Galaxy” will release on April 1, 2026!
