Disney has dropped a trailer for the “Freakier Friday” movie starring Jamie Lee Curtis (Tess) and Lindsay Lohan (Anna). It is a sequel to the 2003 remake of “Freaky Friday.”
This time it isn’t just Tess and Anna, now there is a four-way switch between them and Anna’s daughter Harper and Anna’s fiancé’s daughter, Lily as well.
It’s nice that this one is going to theaters first. Maybe Disney is learning that putting everything on Disney+ isn’t the best idea.

I love that they play Chappell Roan’s “Hot To Go” at the end of the trailer. It’s a smart move to attract the Gen Z and Gen Alpha crowd.
Since they are crossing generations, it will also appeal to the Baby Boomers, Millennials, and Gen X crowd. The Millennials were the target for the 2003 film, and the other two grew up with the original or liked Curtis.
The synopsis for the film reads,
“Tess and Anna discover that lightning may indeed strike twice as they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge.”
My daughter is a big fan of the 2003 film, and I know she will be excited about this one as well!
