It is almost one week away from the return of everyone’s favorite Marvel anti-hero Deadpool. A brand new trailer for the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine film has just dropped, giving fans another look at the massive multiverse crossover adventure.
The third film in the nearly decade-long Deadpool trilogy originally spun off from the 20th Century Fox X-Men franchise after actor Ryan Reynolds wanted to do the character justice following how he was treated in the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Joined by former X-Men member Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), the duo must travel the multiverse to save it and encounter various worlds and versions of characters from over twenty years of Marvel movies.

While not every major appearance will be revealed until the film’s release, one small teaser was given: Lady Deadpool. While it hasn’t been revealed who will play her, it is believed that fellow Green Lantern (2011) actor and Ryan Reynold’s real-life wife Blake Lively will portray her in a rather meta on-screen reunion between the two.
Lady Deadpool first appeared in Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth #7 in 2009. She is an alternate reality version of the fourth-wall-breaking mercenary, Earth-3010, to be exact. Wanda Wilson comes from a reality where she battles corrupt federal politicians during a time of civil war.

She has most of Deadpool’s abilities, but unlike her male counterpart, the scars on her body were eventually healed. She joins the Deadpool Corps alongside the original Deadpool, Dogpool, Kidpool, Headpool, and others. At one point, she even shares a kiss with her main male counterpart (Similar to Loki and Sylvie in the Loki series). It’s unsure if the film will go down this route.
The epic finale to twenty-five years of X-Men films is about to begin.
