The second season of “Andor” will be 12 episodes long and will be released in three chunks, each representing one year from season one until the beginning of the “Rogue One” film.
“Andor” was not a considerable success in viewership, but it has been universally praised as a great Star Wars show. Both audiences and critics felt it was good. Unlike “The Acolyte,” “Andor” grew in viewership from the beginning to the ending.
Here is the second season synopsis,
“Cassian Andor’s journey from a reluctant revolutionary to a leader, culminating in the events of “Rogue One,” as he and the emerging Rebel Alliance face the Empire and the discovery of the Death Star.”
It will likely fill in any gaps from the time leading into “Rogue One.”
“Andor” Season 2 release schedule,
April 22nd: Episodes 1- 3
April 29th: Episodes 4-6
May 6th: Episodes 7- 9
May 13th: Episodes 10-12.
