Moana’s Journey of Water Progress at EPCOT

Changes have been happening at EPCOT for a few years now. Back in 2017 Disney announced they would be closing Ellen’s Energy Adventure to make room for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, opening soon. Then in 2019 Disney announced more changes coming to the parks like Moana’s Journey of Water.

This new attraction was going to be a walk-through, interactive attraction between Spaceship Earth and The Living Seas with Nemo (Basically where Innoventions West was.)

Journey of Water will be a maze of sorts, meant to educate guests about the water cycle on our planet, while also offering a bit of a show or interactivity.

 The concept art is beautiful!

Thanks to @bioreconstruct on Twitter we have a look at the new area under construction.

Originally the attraction was to open in 2021 but that got pushed back due to the pandemic and closures. They will likely try to get it open in time for EPCOT 40th Anniversary. I really hope they do! I’m excited to see this, even though I really don’t want EPCOT to become IP-COT.

What do you think? Comment and let us know!
