Moana inspired Journey of Water Attraction Concept Art

D23 was full of information and announcements yesterday!

Including a look at concept art for several Epcot attractions, new elements and refurbishments.  But a lot of people are interested in the newly announced Moana Journey of Water attraction.

But, before we get into that here’s a look at what the new layout will look like in Future World.  This image comes from WDWNT:

As you can see on the map the new Moana-inspired attraction will be located in where the old Innoventions West building is now, leading into Future World West where The Land, The Living Seas with Nemo and Friends, and Journey Into Imagination are located.

I do admit I was worried when I heard the announcement. My first thought was “Oh no! What building are they going to redo or destroy to make room for the new IP attraction!” Thankfully, this turned out not to be the case…yet.

What is the Journey of Water Attraction?

The Journey of Water attraction will actually be a trail where guests can interact and play with water elements. In a place like Florida, and especially in the Spring, Summer, and Fall, it sounds nice.

Something else I noticed. The Moana logo fits nicely into the Epcot logo collection. Epcot is definitely going retro (that I do LOVE) and this logo does feel like it completely belongs!

Hopefully we will hear more soon! Stay tuned!
